Gary HughesChairman - Gary Hughes [email]

Having served in the Royal Navy since 1975, Gary retired from the 'senior service' in 2013. He has lived in Purbrook for almost 20 years and served on the South Waterlooville Community Board. Gary assumed the chair of PAWARA in January, 2014.

John BriggsVice Chairman/Planning - John Briggs

John Briggs is a retired scientific librarian who has lived in Purbrook for over thirty years. He has been involved in a number of local historical and civic organisations. He has an alarmingly wide range of interests and is the only person to possess both a Cabronita guitar and the Dictionary of Medieval Latin.

Vic PheasantTreasurer - Vic Pheasant [email]

An RAF veteran, having served for 25 years, Vic went on to have a successful career as a director/consultant with a Public Limited Company. He and his wife, Sue, have lived on Purbrook Heath for 28 years. Vic assumed the role of Treasurer for PAWARA in 2013.

Secretary - Dianne LloydDianne lloyd

Dianne Lloyd has lived in Widley since 1998 but in the wider, local area for many more years.  Having retired from IBM after 25 years, she now lectures part time in Business English.  Dianne is a keen walker, animal lover, interested in nature, the environment and community matters.

Environment - Paul Jackson

Paul was born in Denvilles and after a brief period working as a surveyor for the Havant Borough Council he changed his amateur/semi-professional career in local bands and became a professional musician for 25 years. He is currently a project manager for a robotics and automation company. Paul met his wife, Dawn, when they were working in the entertainments department on P&O Cruise ships. They now have two children James and Lily and have lived in Purbrook since 2002.

Malcolm JordanNewsletter Coordinator - Malcolm Jordan

Malcolm was born in East Yorkshire. He joined the Royal Navy in 1968 and served until 1990. After a draft to HMS Dolphin in 1975 he decided to call Portsmouth home. He moved to Widley in 1991 after leaving the RN but continued to work with the Navy at HMS Collingwood until retiring in 2014. He is married to Maureen, has two married sons who live in the area and a daughter in Scotland. He has been associated with PAWARA since 2014.
